Really. Ish. Personal issues and school alone have kept me from wanting to do anything. I'm working on it, but boy has my art suffered. Eh, c'est la vie.

Well, just these last few months I got sucked into two things I have put off for years: Star Trek the Original Series & Black Butler.

Don't get me wrong, I've seen The Trouble With Tribbles, but Shatner's acting put me off the rest. I flat couldn't stand him in it, then I actually sat down and watched it and noticed Leonard Nimoy (ok, so Spock was/is a crush too because smart, sarcastic, and pointy eared) & DeForest Kelley and fell in love with their banter. The shit those two give each other is epic. I'm now actually willing to watch Westerns to see the dear doc play an evil cowboy (should be good). Speaking of shit, I noticed something: the writers loved to torture Spock. I made a list (in my infinite boredom) of crap that happens to him, and half way through season one alone the list is comparable to Kirk's list of women. I'd have quit Starfleet if half this stuff happened to me. He's been electrocuted, hit in the head hard, under mind control, thrown into a wall by psychokinesis, had his legs broken by psychokinesis, racism, mind melded a nutcase, in a shuttle crash, hit by boulders, in several brawls, kidnapped, in a bombing, suffered a hyper-sonic attack, oxygen deprivation to the point of unconsciousness..... it goes on, and on, and on. 

Black Butler I avoided like the plague because it looks straight up like a demon romancing a thirteen year old kid. I'm no prude, but if the character's aren't eighteen plus, I go the other way. Then I saw Book of Circus on Hulu and finally decided to see what the hype is about. That shit is dark! Yes, my initial complaint is still oh so obvious, but I think everyone is head over heels for Sebastian by this point. But I was surprised by the story that's being told, I love a good gory horror story. I won't say anything on it except the manga and the tv show (seasons 1 & 2) are two separate stories. Book of Circus and Book of Murder are the only bits of BB anime that come from the manga wholly.

Been reading a fair bit still, some books, some fan fiction. Note worthy would be I Am Spock by Leonard Nimoy, Ghostbuster's Daughter by Violet Ramis Stiel, and the Sherlock Holmes vs. Cthulhu series by Lois H. Gresh. Why, yes, I do have a thing for skinny, intelligent, sarcastic white boys. However did you guess? All of those books are fascinating to read, the first two because it gives you insight into two remarkable men I wish were still with us, and the third is amazing simply because the author pulled it off. Holmes vs. Cthulhu sounds like a joke, I bought it at a Bruce Campbell book signing because I thought it was, until I read it. It's creepy, in character, and oddly fits well together. I'm looking forward to the third one coming out.

Huh. Strangely, this is all I feel like sharing. Everything else in my life (or lack thereof) is too close to the chest for me to want to air it out on any form of social media. Until next time.

Look alive! I am (lol). Nah, figured it had been a really long time since I posted anything on here, so here is what is up with me:  

 I have three nieces now, ages six, two, and one.  

 I got tired of waiting for someone to pick up the English printing of Petshop of Horrors Shin/Tokyo, so I ordered the last four volumes and am currently in the process of translating them. No, I will not post the actual comics with a fan translation. The artist herself seems to take copyright very seriously (can't even find doujinshi for this series), and I respect the heck out of that.  I will, however, once I'm done, happily write up a written out account of the tales. The books are only around $10 (and lovely, slip covers and all), so support Ms. Akino and order them.   So far I've got a very rough draft of what is said in Vol. 9 chapter 1 (titled Delta), and I can give a rundown of that if you like.

 I wrote and posted a new short on Fan Fiction (search my name) for the first time in several years (it's not my best work, but it's something). It's true what they say, about life inspiring work. Well, my life has been pretty boring as of late and it's translated into a true lack of desire to create much of anything. Closest I've come is a few short stories one of my best friends requested of me, and those will never be for public view as to me it's the same as personal photographs. Although, I have done some photography, perhaps I'll up load some of that.

 Finally on Steam! I've been sucked into Terraria big time, as it has three of my favorite things: digging (I was a mud/rabbit hole to China kid), looting, and mass killing of baddies.  

 Joined the world of Star Trek Timelines. I'm also registered on their forum as Lt. Cmd. Anna Spengler. (Go Ghostbusters!) 

 Speaking of Ghostbusters, I was fine with the all girls one; LOVED the cameos, and Slimer stole the show. I also now have a figurine of Egon Spengler.  Got bored one day and made him a wizards robe and scarf (you know his nerdy butt would be Ravenclaw).

 *sigh* I fell into Pop Figures too... I have God Vegeta, Badman Vegeta, Yakko, Mojo Jojo, Him, blue & red Harley Quinn, Jareth, Sarah Williams, Worm, & Mycroft. As well as a bunch of mini things like a metal Dr. Strange & multicolored Bamtans.

 Lord Almighty I tired Bumble (signed up while drunk). Never again. I've nothing against anyone of different creeds (I'm friends with Pagans, Mormons, Catholics, Agnostics, Atheists, Buddhists, the list goes on), but I found it amusing that my profile read Christian and the guys who I'd meet are all "yeah, I'm atheist..". Near instant friend zone that. I've dated atheists (even fell in love with one), but it almost always becomes a huge hurdle. So for now I'm doing the career & getting established route (totally crushing on Tom Ellis anyway- yay dreams).

 Oooo, and on that note I am nervous. I'm going into a Pharmacy Technician program (not associated with college credit programs), and they require a math assessment test. I'm not stupid, but math and I never have clicked. If I don't use it, I lose it- FAST. I'm going to study up, but it makes me anxious that I'll fail and my dreams will be crushed. Stupid anxiety.

 SAMURAI JACK WAS AWESOMEEEEEE!!! Oh man had I been waiting for this last season. It's brilliant if you haven't watched it yet. Phil Lamarr rocks hard core. They got their wibbly wobbly timey wimey messed up and kinda wrong (it doesn't make sense if you think on it, but it works for what Genndy was trying to do).   


That's about it for right now, especially since I'm not sure what else I want to say. hahaha

Take a look at that, my Ghostbuster addicted self managed to post something artsy. Ooooo. Be scared. Maybe. I did call it though, it's been roughly six months since I last said or did much of anything on here (other than favourite a bunch of stuff from my mobile phone). I know me.

Aannnd to express my nerd self, here is a "bullet" point run down of me:

  The only thing I support about the all female Ghostbusters is that now maybe someone will let Dan and Bill have at it again (*sobs* I miss Harold).  

  The new DLC for Dragon Age Inquisition comes out on September 8th. My character romanced Solas. I am obnoxiously excited to see where his story leads.

  My only first cousin had his first baby, a little girl. As her honorary auntie I'm mad happy.

  I bought the 2008 Ghostbusters video game for the Play Station. How I missed this game I don't know, but it's hilarious.

Few things:

A) Happy New Year & sorry I never got around to doing any card exchanges at Christmas. Maybe I'll do ones for Easter? Dunno. Probably not.

B) All I need to cosplay Anna from Frozen is her dress. I am Anna, I have blue eyes, freckles, and reddish-blonde hair. lolz

C) Art has taken a backburner (which you know by my lack of doing ANYTHING).

D) Down to three cats (lost one two days ago to cancer).

E) Don't come to California cause our air is beyond horrible right now. I can't breathe.

F) Get anything good for Christmas? I got an adorable pair of black suede boots.

If  you got a llama from me today, I visited your page cause I was browsing and something of yours caught my eye and I went and looked. I am admittedly crap with leaving reviews though, hence llamas, llamas, and more llamas (unless something really spoke to me, lol).

I'm in class anyway, but I've already typed up and submitted my work for the day. So yay, I think.

Oh! I've also started working on my Sherlock Holmes story again- NO JOKE THIS TIME! I've already posted the first little bit of chapter 10 as proof I haven't abandoned it (despite not touching it for four friggen years- time reeeeallllllyyyy got away from me).
